Terms and Conditions
HSBC Debit Card E-Commerce Cash Back Promo ("Program")

  1. This Program is valid from 1 August 2019 until 31 December 2019 ("Program Period").
  2. This Program will replace the existing "HSBC Debit Card E-Commerce Cash Back Promo" that valid from 1 February 2019 until 31 December 2019.
  3. This Program is valid for all HSBC VISA Advance and Premier Debit Card issued by PT Bank HSBC Indonesia ("Debit Card"). This program is not valid for HSBC Debit Business Card, Personal Banking Debit Card (Classic), Retail Business Banking Debit Card (Classic), HSBC NPG Debit Card, and HSBC Credit Card.
  4. Online or e-commerce transaction are purchase transaction that occurred without card presence in merchants that operates on the internet network.
  5. Overseas transaction is purchase transaction by swiping card to EDC machine outside Indonesia.
  6. Program details:
    1. Customer has to fulfill minimum average TRB (Total Relationship Balance) criteria in PT Bank HSBC Indonesia ("Bank") during transaction month to be eligible to get cash back from this program.
    2. On any one calendar month within the Program Period, customers are entitled to receive cash back if the total accumulated online transaction executed in any e-commerce merchant and EDC transaction overseas in that one month using their Debit Card meet the below requirement:

      Illustration: During 1 September 2019 until 30 September 2019, an Advance customer does several online transactions with a total accumulated transaction amount of IDR 1,500,000 and overseas EDC transaction amount of IDR 1,000,000. Accumulation of both online transaction and overseas transaction would be IDR 2,500,000. At the end of month, customer's average TRB is IDR 50 million. Hence, the customer is entitled to get a cash back worth IDR 125,000 for the September 2019 period as stated in the criteria.
    3. Any transaction at domestic EDC and ATM machine is not eligible for this program.
    4. Accumulation of transactions in two or more Debit Cards is not applicable. If a customer has two or more debit cards, and each card is eligible for cash back, the Bank shall credit only the highest eligible cash back amount.
    5. Multiplication of cash back calculation is not applicable.
    6. No limitation on e-commerce merchant and/or overseas merchant category for transactions that will be calculated during Program Period.
    7. Program is applicable for Debit Card that is linked to primary account in any currency. However, customer required to have IDR account in order to get cash back.
    8. Cash back will be credited directly to account in Indonesian Rupiah that belongs to customer by the end of the following month at the latest, provided that the account status is active.
      Example: Cash back for purchases made in 1-30 September 2019 will be credited at the latest by 31 October 2019.
  7. Only successful purchase transactions that have been carried out and have been debited from customer's account on a date within the Program Period are eligible for the Program. Any purchase transaction that has been settled within the Program Period but subsequently reversed or credited back by the merchant or in dispute partially/fully within 30 days from the purchase date is not eligible.
  8. The Bank reserves the right to request for additional information and supporting documents relate to any transaction (including but not limited to invoices/receipt) from Customer and he/she shall be obliged to do so if so requested. The Bank, in its discretion, reserves the right to deem the transaction as not eligible and cancel the Cash back credit process against any accounts if the Bank believes that the Customer does not meet the Program's terms and conditions herein. The Bank's decision in all matters relating to the Program is final.
  9. Customers who have closed or in the process of closing their accounts before the cash back amount is transferred will be disqualified from this Program.
  10. The Bank may, at its discretion, change these Terms and Conditions (including but not limited to varying the Promotional Period) with prior notice to the Customer.
  11. Calculation of transaction value will follow Bank's calculation, customer can raise questions and/or concerns regarding reward calculation discrepancy which should have been received by customer until 29 February 2020 at the latest. All questions and/or concerns raised after that date will not be accepted by Bank.
  12. These Terms and Conditions are prepared in Indonesian language and English, In the event of discrepancy between the two versions, the Indonesian language version shall prevail.
